Generally children who are sick or present with any symptoms of illness are not allowed into our premises untill they recover. If your child is sick while he or she is at our centre, we will isolate the child and contact the parents to pick the child up. We also have our standard SOP when dealing with contagious disease. As we are a registered centre, we are always in touch with the state health department for updates on contagious diseases such as HFMD and COVID.

We are a licensed centre and our emphasis is on the quality of care. We are very niche in childcare and our teachers are trained and stay up todate with the latest childcare trends. We prioritize the nurturing aspect and the welfare of the child as we believe this is priority before we can expect any academic outcome and achievement from the child. The centre is also one of the centre where we present a good ratio of childcare teacher and child compared to many other centres in the market. We also ensure the teachers welfare are preserved to maintain low staff turnover in the centre which ultimately translates to a better and secure environment for your child.

My Playpen is registered as a childcare centre(TASKA). In the Malaysia law, TASKA are regulated under the childcare act under the purview of the Sate Welfare Department and are for children 4 and below (some small number of children 5 and 6 is allowed). Tadika or Pre-schools are registered under the purview of Ministry of Education and cater for children 4 to 6 years old. The ratio, qualification and general regulation for these 2 institution differ, whereby TASKA’s are more suitable for younger children (inclined towards nurturing and quality care with lower staff to student ratio) where as Tadika are suitable for older children focusing on academic aspects(higher staff to student ratio).

You are allowed to bring your child for outdoor play at our centre daily 1 month before your child enter the centre as part of your child’s orientation programme. On your child’s first day, you are not allowed to come into the centre with your child however, rest assured that your child will be accompanied by one of our teachers and we wil give you frequent updates to assure you on how your child is coping with us.

For children whom the parents or the centre suspect of developmental delays, the centre requires your child to do a milestone screening in the centre. This is to ensure that your child’s development is on par with the group that she/her is joining and if needed, early intervention is to be provided to the child. Our centre is equipped with 3 behaviour therapist and specialize in verbal behaviour. If the intervention is within our scope. We would recommend therapy sessions at the centre. Otherwise, we can assist and advise parents to seek additional intervention from our 3rd party providers.
